If you happen to own a copy of NASCAR 21: Ignition for either the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, but you’ve been playing it on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X or S, the long-awaited Next Gen console update is finally launching. this Thursday (23rd June 2022). It was originally targeted for an April release, but it was moved to June and is finally going to drop for those still playing.
The free N21 upgrade to the next generation consoles (not the NEXT Gen NASCAR racecars, mind you) comes included with the 18.104.22.168 patch, per the April community update from Motorsport Games. This patch will also come bundled with cross-generational gameplay, so that PlayStation 5 players and Xbox Series X|S players can play with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players respectively through the update.
In the community update, it also lists that the patch includes support for PlayStation 5 activities for those on the Sony console. Also, there should be a fix included for those who have the glitch where players would appear under the car, specifically in Career Mode.
