‘F1 for kids’: NASCAR fan teeters on top of motorsports with unforgiving feedback

You always get divided opinions when you ask fans which option they prefer – Formula 1 or NASCAR. This is often due to personal preference. The truth is that both are exciting sports with their own USPs and shortcomings. But Americans seem to have a clear preference for one over the other. Which one though?

NASCAR always gets the projectile for having cars spinning in one direction on mostly oval tracks. On the other hand, F1 has been criticized for having one driver dominating all season with a car that outperforms the others. However, fans on both sides of the spectrum have very convincing arguments in favor of their sport.

Which is better – NASCAR or Formula 1?

Results in NASCAR races depend more on the individual skills of the drivers. Most cars are evenly matched as the manufacturers have to build the car according to the running template. Therefore, any driver on the grid can win any race.

The USP in F1 is how fast the cars are in corners. Each circuit varies with some high-speed corners, some rough turns, and some long straight tracks. Manufacturers constantly need to make adjustments to their cars to go as fast as possible on each day of the race. Anyway, let’s jump straight to what the US prefers.

in video Beginning in August of this year’s The Game Day, they’ve asked fans at a NASCAR event if NASCAR is better than F1. While opinions were skewed in favor of NASCAR, there were some hilarious reactions. The first responder in the video said, F1 for kids.”

Another fan replied, Well, here we are today [a NASCAR event]. So yeah.” 6 respondents interviewed answered for NASCAR but left the turn for last. One fan said at a NASCAR event, “I am a fan of Formula One.” The host had a hilarious reaction to them and couldn’t believe that a F1 fan would enjoy a NASCAR race.

Divided opinion in the comments section

The comments section of the video had some constant friendly banter. Aside from fans of either sport, there were some who had a more neutral approach. Who understood it is like comparing apples to oranges. Both may be motorsports, but one is an open wheel racing league, and the other is not. This makes all the difference.

“NASCAR can be fun and interesting but F1 is just way more exciting, but every racing sport has its ups and downs in the level of excitement depending on which circuit they are racing.”

Then take a right turn [dead emoji]. “

Formula 1 is faster when you’re not going in an oval, it’s more exciting, there’s more Gforce, it’s harder and they have better drivers.”

I’m a huge fan of NASCAR and I prefer NASCAR over most other motorsports, but I still respect all motorsports and believe all drivers have an insane amount of talent and skill to be in their place.”

“I can’t compare in my opinion, all motorsport is a badass.”

Whatever your preference, the drivers in both Fomula 1 and NASCAR deserve the utmost respect. They are all top class athletes with crazy skills and ability to take blows in high speed cars. At the end of the day, follow the one you like best or follow both.
